Used for a Hallway Gate into the Family Room. Closet door located at installation point so needed on that mounted to the ceiling and floor. Using for 2-months without a problem. The locks keep the cat from opening the doors. His a jumper.

Our son and daughter-in-law bought their first home. Coming in the front door you enter an area to take off your shoes then step thru a doorway into the main part of house. They didn't want our Grand Kitty getting out the front door while people were coming in. Our son was going to install a second door to prevent this but was concerned about loosing air flow and light. This was the perfect solution. The installation was simple and no drilling into beautiful woodwork. Our Grand Kitty can see and watch you come in and shut front door and he's safe from the "Great Escape". It looks so nice and people are very intrigued.A perfect solution. Highly recommend it. It arrived a day early, exactly on house closing day. A great gift at a great price. Much less money than installing a door that would be permanent. Love how it splits in the middle like french doors , two latches that lock. Originally I was looking at a one door kind but my husband found this and it allows more of the doorway to be opened. The doors when opened takes up less room. So very pleased with the purchase.

I assumed this would fit my standard doorway - height is very flexible but you need at least 33.5” for width. Turns out my doorway is 30” and there are multiple standard widths - don’t be like me, measure first! I will say though it’s a great cat gate and I’m keeping it, I will just have to make my own lock since the gate can’t fully close (my bad). As for assembly, the only tricky part was installing the rods - I wasn’t sure what lined up with what exactly but the video on here shows you. It’s also a very light gate so anyone can install it by themselves. There are adjuster bolts so you can install it as tight as possible so it’s definitely secure. I have a cat that has jumped over every gate until this one! Highly recommend!
