I can sometimes go through a lot of sandpaper depending on the project I'm working on, especially if its some metal fab. I can also be cheap, well that's the best word, maybe thrifty. This is especially true with sandpaper because I view it as a short lived consumable, especially on metal fab. I'm very much aware that more expensive sandpaper lasts longer, takes less work etc. but on top of being thrifty I'm stubborn sometimes too. So when the opportunity comes to see if I can find the happy medium I'm willing to try a new brand.For me this budget-friendly sandpaper proves that you don't need to spend a lot for decent sandpaper. For me this product falls squarely into the "just works average" category. The 150 grit is effective, offering a satisfactory level of sanding for various DIY projects. For use on steel, it lasted a little longer that other budget-friendly sandpaper I've used and in my last image you can see it appears there is a lot of sanding material left but that paper is quite smooth offering zero material removal. The bonding of the aluminum oxide seems to be quite strong but aluminum oxide itself is just not the best medium. If I was using this on softer metals or wood I think it would be a much better contender. That strong resin bond and tough cloth backing would like make some good progress on aluminum or brass without tearing.In the Amazon ecosphere of cost-effective sandpapers, the MFBJXK emery cloth holds its own, providing a reliable option for those looking to tackle tasks without unnecessary frills. It does the job, it sands fine. But it feels a bit thicker then others I've used and when ripping it, it tends to tear at the bottom leaving strands which I had to use scissors to cut off.
