I was skeptical that a low-cost solution could fix the horrible driveline vibration I was experiencing with my moderately lifted 2002 Jeep TJ. After spending less than an hour to install, the vibration has disappeared.I highly recommend re-torque the bolts after the first test drive, and again after a hundred miles or so.

I bought an 06 TJ from a guy who had installed a 4" lift on it but couldn't stand the vibration at low speeds and when accelerating. I suspected the problem was nothing more than the harsh angle of the rear driveshaft, figured I'd install a slip-yoke eliminator and upgrade the driveshaft. I ordered this T-case drop kit just to give it a try since is such an inexpensive and easy option. It went on in about a half hour (I got lucky with the skid plate bolts) and I'm super happy with the results. It completely eliminated all the vibration! I know that some have problems shifting into 4-low after installing this and require a drop bracket for the linkage but my Jeep didn't. I might still go the slip-yoke eliminator route but maybe not. This fix was cheap and easy, just like me.

Exactly what I needed for 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ. Installed one side at a time so to avoid fighting the alignment of the bracket. Once all the new bolts and spacer were in, torqued them down. Super easy install, just needed a floor jack and wrenches. Came with two sets of bolts as the others mentioned. The YJ takes the tapered flat head bolts. Worked like a charm.

Installed this transfer case drop kit on a 1992 YJ that has a 3 inch body lift, and a 2 1/2 suspension lift. I was getting a lot of vibration, and the slip yoke was out quite a bit. I was concerned that the 1 inch drop kit would not be enough to resolve the vibration, but it was, and the slip yoke actually went back in the tail piece a good bit as well. I had to trim the inside because of the body lift, coupled with the 1 inch drop kit. Also, be sure to use anti-sieze on the new bolts. The kit comes with two different bolt types. One is a hex head, and one is a 8mm allen head that when installed, will be flush with the skid plate. This one is the one that was used for my 1992 YJ. They have different threads. I think the hex bolts are for TJs, but not 100% sure.

Overall good product. Kit comes with bolts for the 97 –02 TJ and the 03-06 TJ. The only confusing part is for the 97 –02 TJ you remove the OEM hex bolts and install the tapered bolts since that is the correct thread and bolt size. The kit does come with hex bolt too but that is the 03- 06 bolt replacement with different threads than the 97 –02 bolts. It would’ve been nice to have some general instructions so you don’t have to figure that all out And possibly cross thread the nutcerts.
