I wanted to get into running and was using crappy cheap $40 sneakers. These are great for running outdoors and at the gym. They're so comfortable and very high quality. I'm sure these will last me ages I can tell by the material. They felt snug at first but after a couple of runs to wear them in they're perfect. I found them to be true to size.

I bought these shoes for a second time. INeed to be outside with our dog three plus times daily for long periods. I am able to use them also for light jogging and in all weather up until when the snow gets too deep. Waterproof, muck proof and yes dog crap proof, amazing! For the amount of miles I have put on these replacing every year is a ok with me. Eventually the toe starts separating from the sole but again lots of use !! Would buy for a third time!

For a waterproof sneaker, these were a decent price and seem comfortable. They aren't stylish, but they seem like they will be fine for running on trails and the road. My main interest was the waterproofing, so for me, they work. I could feel much better traction than regular road sneakers when I tried them on. They are not stiff at all. My only critique is that there is minimal arch support. Edited: The goretex really makes these great. Warm on a cold day and excellent grip. I could run on some patches of snow without trouble. Great road to trail transitions. Better than the Peregrine GTX and half the price.

In 2014 I purchased a similar shoe (Saucony Women's Xodus 4.0) with the GTX soles, and they lasted me 8 years. I used high end Superfeet insoles with them the entire time. I did a rugged up-/downhill hike lasting 45-120 minutes at least 4-6 times weekly for 3 of those years. The soles are still rugged on those shoes, too! It's the fabric upper of the sneaks that began to fray, lateral to the balls of the feet.I'm still an avid day hiker. I do a 3-4 hour, semi-rugged jaunt once weekly. I also use them for flat path running roughly 3x weekly, and they seem pretty cushy for that, as well. So far I'm loving these new shoes!
