My son and I replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor in the 2012 Elantra that was intermittently stalling and throwing a check engine light for the CKPS sensor. After we managed to get the sensors swapped out, we cleared the code and over 500 miles later the car is running fine and no more stalling or check engine lights. Priced the replacement at the local parts store, the is not a good value... it is a great value. Huge savings.

Going to replace with this one today. Curious to see if it helps. The code my car threw was for the crank shaft position sensor. P0335. It is for my 2011 Hyundai elantra. Happy with the price as auto zone wanted almost 90 bucks. I'm sure not the same manufacturer. I have been reading on this issue online and I know some people with this vehicle and this code replace the sensor and then still have same issue. Maybe they are replacing the cam shaft sensor instead. I'm also going to replace the fuel filter. I have no power in my vehicle. A while now. Also, past few weeks more often then not, when I start the car I have no rpms. Sometimes it starts as normal and shows rpms and when it does I can drive normally just loss of power. When I start with no rpms though I have to force the car to shift manually using the gas pedal. This was going fine for a couple weeks but I just got up to 50 only in a 60 that everyone does 80 in lol. My attempts to force the shift felt like down shifting and slowly I got down to 25 so I had to exit and am doing this today as that was scary and annoying. Totally killed my mood.I did want to update because anyone buying this part obviously is getting this code on their vehicle. There is no code for a fuel filter. I am told. It trips the code for a censor. Or something. I was able to just clean up fuel filter a bit. I plan to replace once funds are available. But omg the difference!!! My 2011 elantra has has the same fuel filter 12 years. Enough said. Power is back engine light is off. I did not end up replacing this crankshaft sensor in my vehicle and ordered it because my car mistakenly told me to. So I ended up not needing it after allDid end up replacing this part. In the midst of the fuel pump fiasco. Still have check engine light on. Read the codes. Well code. I forget the number but it was "system running lean" so fuel pump lives about as long as this censor I guess. Which is 12 years in my case. To me this means this censor issue has been resolved and I now can move onto fuel pump. So to sum it up would recommend this sensor, huge savings from auto store, WILL clear your p0335 code and will improve performance and whacky rpm stuff. Wondering if they make a good fuel pump. For a 2011 Hyundai elantra. Just throwing it out there cuz I know ai is listening lol
