These hiking pants have zip-off legs. The material is sturdy so they can actually work well as hiking pants. There’s not a lot of stretch so get a size that will fit you comfortably.

Wife says these fits well and the fabric seems sturdy, like it wouldn't rip easily while hiking/scrambling over rocks. But she does say it does feel a little hot in them, as if they don't breathe so well. So she wouldn't use them for hiking but would wear them for normal wear instead. It's well made, the sewing and hem lines seems sturdy.

I like that these are lightweight and "breathe." They fit true to size and are comfortable. The zippers work well and the legs are easy to take off and put on.

I love the type of hiking pat that can be converted to shorts. So I was glad to see this feature. I liked the short zipper on the bottom of each leg too. I would have preferred a zipper all the way up the leg to where the shorts started so I could get that portion off while wearing hiking boots but I guess that is what the short zipper is supposed to allow.There was a zippered pocket on each leg below my knee. This is lower than I have in my other pants but I liked it. The two pockets near the wide waistband had a velcro closure in the middle but it still would be possible for items to get out on each side.However, I found that the diameter of the legs ran very slim. So if you have muscular calves or thighs, these pants probably would not be a comfortable fit. For me, I may wear these when doing errands around town but not while hiking unless my legs get smaller or else I will wear them just as shorts.
