This could turn out to be a wonderful, 5-star product. But at $49.99 I expected something more. It seems - to be blunt -rather cheap at first glance. Yes, it does pretty much what the product info says it will do, but still, I expected more.First, it is quite plasticky. If this is similar to other products that I think use the same plastic this won't do well long-term due to UV. It'll chip and degrade. So I hope I'm wrong, but it will take quite a bit longer to find out and a review is required now and not later.Second (and perhaps my biggest let-down), is that the panel has a limited tilt function so one pretty much has to use this on a south-facing surface. I had hoped the solar panel tilt function would allow an ability to fully take advantage of a west- or east-facing exposure. Again, it might, but I won't know until I install it it and see what the battery does.So again, this could be a 5-star product, but I just don't know yet. Hence, why I said "first impressions."On-board battery charges quickly and without issue. The build quality id pretty nice. But again, it just seems so cheap. I probably could be more enthused if the price was under $40 (optimally, under $35). Why? Because I can buy a mount and 5w panel for about $35. Yes, it won't have the on-board battery, but I'm not limited in my installation location.We'll see. When I want to "buy another" (and do), that's what "5 stars" means to me. At this point, I don't want to "buy another." At this point, it's just "okay." And in Amazon's rating scheme "okay" equals...3 stars.
