Un condensador es un componente eléctrico de dos terminales pasivo (un componente que consume pero no produce energía). Al construir un sistema de sonido para tu coche, querrás usar un condensador por un par de razones diferentes.
¿Por qué necesito uno?La razón principal por la que siempre se recomienda un condensador, es por reserva de energía. El condensador almacena energía y la libera muy rápidamente al amplificador(es). ¿Cómo ayuda esto? Es muy sencillo: La música es dinámica, no importa el tipo que escuches. La dinámica del contenido musical puede variar de voces suaves y una transición muy rápida a notas graves atronadoras. Estos momentos son donde se escucha el beneficio de tener un condensador. El amplificador requiere una cantidad constante de potencia constante para funcionar de manera eficiente y alimentar los altavoces. Un condensador mantendrá la potencia hacia el amplificador consistente y estabilizado, lo que significa un mejor sistema de sonido. IMPORTANTE: La salida remota de la unidad principal está conectada al encendido remoto del condensador. El condensador no funcionará si el cable remoto no está conectado a tu unidad principal.

Primero asegúrate de que todas las conexiones según los diagramas del manual de instrucciones sean correctas. Toma el cable proveniente del terminal de batería POSITIVO (+). Coloque la resistencia de carga suministrada entre el extremo de este cable y el terminal positivo del condensador. El condensador comenzará a cargarse. La carga generalmente tarda de 5 a 60 segundos. Durante la carga, el voltaje mostrado en la visualización de 3 dígitos aumentará rápidamente, luego lento a medida que se acerca al voltaje de la batería de tu vehículo. Cuando esté completamente cargado, el voltaje de la visualización dejará de aumentar. Si tienes un voltímetro, primero puedes medir el voltaje de la batería de tu coche. Entonces sabrás con precisión que el condensador está completamente cargado. ¡Precaución! Durante la carga, la resistencia se calentará. Esto es normal, pero ten cuidado durante el proceso de carga. Después de completar la carga, retira la resistencia del cable positivo entrante, y conéctalo inmediatamente al terminal positivo del condensador.

I have a Ford F-150 with the 3.5l Ecoboost engine. This vehicle has the automatic stop/start "feature" that shuts the engine down at stops and restarts it when the foot is removed from the brake or if the battery needs charging or the AC needs to run for cooling or other reasons. It is supposed to save gasoline. It may do that, but it has some unfortunate side-effects. One of those is that my Icom IC-7100 can't take the voltage sag that happens when the engine starts. It will reboot. Ford did something with the built-in system so that continues to operate, so I knew a solution had to be available.This was the solution. I paired it with a Bridge Rectifier diode to ensure that the capacitor would be charged but not feed the power back to the battery when the engine starts. It provides the voltage stability that my radio needs. Now I don't have to remember to shut the auto stop/start off as the radio will happily continue to operate through those cycles.The capacitor will operate without the display. I did however connect a wire to the radio through the auxiliary connector's pin that has voltage when the radio is turned on. I use the same connection to power another device that is only active when the radio is turned on.The 2 Farad capacitor is likely way more than what was needed. However, it was available at a good price, being only a couple more dollars than the 1 Farad capacitor. It is rather large, but I have it located under the rear seat in the F-150 and it fits well there along with the other radio equipment. Bottom line is that I can recommend this for solving the radio reboot problem for those who have the same problem.

I've had this installed for almost 1 year and I've had no issues with it. Installation was easy as it came with everything needed for install (except wiring) and the instructions were easy to follow. It's connected to a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D amp powering a Rockford Fosgate P3D4-10 sub. The digital voltage display is a nice feature although I can't see it because it's mounted at the back of my enclosure. For the price, it's a great choice.

Este es un capacitor de 2 faradios para el apoyo del amplificador del coche y así no fastidiar el acumulador al traer el equipo a todo volumen, es original y trae todos sus accesorios para su instalación incluyendo la resistencia para cargarlo por primera vez, este capacitor cuenta con una terminal extra para el cable de encendido remoto, por lo que el capacitor se prenderá sólo cuando el radio se encienda, excelente precio dada la escases de este tipo de componentes en la Ciudad de México.

Absolutely a must at this deal. Caps have a bad rap for being a vestigial (to battery) component and the forums are all about the 'big three' wire upgrades etc.... which gets costly and time consuming and the stock wires should be sufficient at these short distances. I know the cap only holds a fraction of the battery's Joule output but it made the difference and provides a regulated voltage supporting the amps circuitry.Scenario: Installed a demanding system on a car battery (500rms sub amp) causing the familiar light dimming on heavy notes and lack of over head power. So onto Amazon and found this which matched the aesthetics of the system, had good reviews and seemed to the perfect match.Installed: Night and Day difference, dimming disappeared, sound output had noticeable authority and cleaner/punchier. The instructions were clear, resistor provided for initial charging and all mounting hardware/screws included.Conclusion: No hesitation on purchasing for another install and would be a much smaller grin when turning up without it.Note: I used the Stinger SPD511 wire distributer on the power wire to keep it clean and proper, worked well but half the price of this cap.
