I've bought so many steel wool products that claim to be *stainless steel* wool but are not - they're just regular old garden variety steel wool that rusts the instant you begin to use it and turns to powder in your hands.I had an appication where stainless steel wool would work better by lasting longer - not rusting or breaking up. This steel wool did the job.

Amazon is The only place that I could find stainless steel wool. I bought this to put around my pipes to keep out the mice. This is easy to work with and I don't have to worry about it rusting. Very good product

I purchase this to use to plug holes etc.. (repels rodents) as it rusts more slowly than regular steel wool - BUT it still rusts - make no mistake. Just have to be honest.
