Paid to have this professionally installed by dealer, and it's dead after a few months. It's been nothing but problems. Parts inside are broken, causing complete failure. Do NOT waste your money on this thing. I wouldn't even recommend this thing as a paperweight. Save some time and just throw your money in the trash before buying this thing. I wish they had a zero star option. Warranty is only one month which is barely time to receive it, install it, and try it a few times. What a joke.

Bench tested before install, sounded horrible and slow. Opened it up, found the 2 negative brush leads were routed wrong and up agains the rotor, shorting across multiple segments. Shaft had pitting. One of the magnets had an obvious crack. Then after correcting the brushes and adding some grease, the o-ring snapped on the brush holder end. Needed the machine running so figured I'd use on from the original starter. This replacement was significantly smaller OD, surely to result in lower torque. Put RTV in since the machine isn't run in wet. Turned over ok, but it sure as hell won't last as long as the originals 10000mi and 1400h. Will rebuild the factory one since I pulled the pin on this grenade.

I thought my starter was going on my Polaris but come to find out it was just the Solenoid on it. I replaced it with the Solenoid that came in this set , started right up perfectly after that. For the price and set you can’t beat it.
