I used a thick woven cotton printed patterned fabric and it worked so well with the ruffle detail. It’s such an easy pattern and helps you learn how to do seams in the back, integrating the button closure and securing down the facing for the neck. I love that there is no gathering involved. I actually messed up the cutting of the fabric ruffles not once but TWICE and thankfully had enough fabric to still make this beauty. Ha! Never a flawless process but so pleased with the outcome.
