Power supply works well. supplies 8A to my office LED lighting. The supply "brick" gets warm. The startup delay on the supply is long. I haven't timed it, but its close to or just above 1.5 seconds. I removed one star for description missing this parameter in the specs.

Dead! Received this power supply (Friday) plugged it in and nothing. Pulled out the AC plug and tested the voltage and it is 117VAC, so re-plugged in the AC power cord into the power supply and nothing. Checked the DC power plug with my FLUKE 112 and no DC Voltage so its a return. Hope the Vendor reads this and reaches out to me, or its back to Amazon on Monday.

I am using it to run three NEMA 17 stepper motors at around 1.7 Amps each. Works great, stays cool. The only thing to make it better would be a longer output side cable. I don't have an o-scope to measure how clean the output is, but it is not causing issues with the stepper drivers I'm using (DRV8825's running in a CNC shield on an Arduino UNO clone). Not sure yet about long term reliability, haven't run it for very long so far. I'll be adding another motor (@ 1.7 Amps) to the mix and will update review if anything changes.

I purchased this as a fill-in until I could source a higher wattage adapter elsewhere. I am powering a teensy pc with a Pico-PSU power supply (I know, but clarity). I am using this to provide the required 12 volts DC to the pico-PSU. The power supply I am using is rated at 160 watts, with a 200 watt peak. Pretty nifty for a PSU that is no bigger than an ATX connector! Me being me, I had to push the limits of what this adapter could put out. With a Pentium G3258 overclocked to 4.6 GHz 16 gb, and an overclocked GTX 750 Ti, my total power draw was 164 watts (at 100% cpu/100% gpu utilization) as measured by kill-a-watt meter. Hmmmm... I wonder if this could power my i7-4790K overclocked to 4.6 GHz... With Prime 95 and Furmark stress testing utilities I reached a total power draw of 194 Watts (>150% of rated power) before the overcurrent protection kicked in. This tells us two things: this adapter is rated conservatively, meaning it's rating is way below the actual ability. It also tells us the overcurrent protection is working. In theory, this will likely provide 120 watts of 12 volts DC for many years. Not bad for a seventeen dollar unit. If what you need is an AC-DC power adapter and don't intend to be a fool like me, this will work perfectly!
