First of all it says UPF50+ protection - my baby and me still got burn while under itSecond- it’s not holding well under just a bit windy weather on the beach (which is always the case)Finally- the idea of light weight is great, but it looks like a very cheap material that I’m afraid won’t last long in a windy climate and the sticks that hold it will create a hole in the material eventually

This canopy was great for the price and very easy to assemble once you got past the earning curve. The key is to make sure everything is tight so it doesn't flop in the wind. It was a great size for 4 adults and one child. I would absolutely recommend this and would purchase it again.

After the birth of our child we began searching for beach tents to keep her shaded. To our surprise, we found this large sized tent for a great price and so far it's been great! We fit 4/5 people under it and haven't had any issues with stability. Fingers crossed that it holds up for a decent amount of time.

This product is lightweight and rugged enough to handle the windiest days if you complete a good set up. I have been a beach goer for many years and just retired our 10+ year old (10'x10') traditional tent canopy. I was hesitant to change, but wanted lighter weight and compact storage. The YouTube videos out there basically cover everything. The set up is straight forward, load up the sand bags, stretch out the covering very tight, raise the poles and secure everything. The screw in stakes that anchor the poles make a big difference when you comparison shop. This brand is a great value. If you buy the higher cost brands you will get larger diameter, thicker poles and some have corded pipe assembly like tents. Look for screw in stakes to anchor your poles. This brands poles connected easily and were rugged, as we experienced 3 very windy afternoons on our last trip. When looking around, we considered the Shibumi shade style. That style is twice as easy to set up. If that is what you are looking for try it. However, Shubumi's are loud, you do have to move them when the wind changes direction and do not work at all when the wind speed is low. We were watching our friends and neighbors that use the Shubumi's. The reasons I just shared and the price kept me away from that style. Long term durability of the tenting material of the Uboway (as it does partially deform where the pole caps push into the corners) and the fact that the poles are painted metal (small rusting started from our first week) are my concerns for them lasting 10 years. For the price you can't beat them. I am pretty sure I can set the Uboway up in my yard with a little ingenuity, you don't have to have sand, but we are considering these only for the beach. At the price, I chose to buy two as our group was seven people. You can see them set up in the picture.

We needed shade for four on the beach, and the amount of shade provided vs the bulk of 2 beach umbrellas wasn't working anymore. Researched a bunch of beach tents on Amazon, and this one seemed to be the best combo of strength and size (10×10). It did not disappoint, and we were amazed at how sturdy it is! It stood up to very strong South Carolina coastal winds without issue, and provided just enough shade for the four of us. Went up in 5 minutes, down in about the same, and the sand did not collect or stick to the material at all. The addition of the pole anchors is a home run.Would have given 5 stars for sturdiness, but the included plastic shovel broke on day 3. We had brought an extra shovel to speed setup time, so not a huge deal...The tent is very compact as well. A great value and we won't be lugging beach umbrellas with us again!!!
