I love that the screen has such a large viewing area. I just wish that the controls for adjusting the height would hold better. It drops down with just the slightest bump or movement.

My eye just aren't as good as they use to be. Had some circuit board repairs to do. Helped immensely.

Edit: the customer service was excellent and first reached out to me just asking how the product was and i expressed a worry I had about a joining nut for the arm. They fixed my worry and updated their equipment, sending me a modified (longer) nut for FREE! I am fairly certain they adjusted that feature for the other microscopes they are still selling. I appreciated that greatly since it was more of a worry than any real issue, the original works fine, i just felt like it didn't have very must wiggle room.Everything came professionally packed. It is slightly tricky to set up (attaching a joining nut) , but the directions explain it perfectly. The camera is in as real time as i can see and the frame rate is adjustable. The Digital zoom works great and maintains crispness m IMO indicating a higher resolution than what the screen provides zoomed out. This product is worth the money.

A few months ago I equipped my digital microscope with an extended (10 inch) support column to allow me to examine the surfaces of relatively tall objects. One downside of this modification, however: the reach of the microscope’s native LEDs is inadequate to properly illuminate the surface of some of the taller objects.Solution: the TOMLOV auxiliary lamps being reviewed. These lamps were designed to clip-mount on the edge of a table or desk. However, to fulfill my objectives I wanted to mount the lamps quite close to the microscope and independent of any desk or table. Therefore, I made a supplementary wooden base for the microscope, installed an elevated aluminum bar on this base, and clipped the TOMLOV lamps to the aluminum bar as shown in photo 1. As shown in photos 1 and 2, the TOMLOV lamps adequately illuminate the edge of a 5.5” length of 2 x 6 lumber. The lamp’s quite substantial brightness is adjustable with a control conveniently mounted on the power cable (the illumination shown in the photos is not the maximum brightness). Also note that a 5 V USB power cube, which the manufacturer provides, powers the lamps.Overall I’m quite pleased with these lamps and find no reason to give them less that an A grade: five stars.

I've had an Andonstar AD407 microscope that I use for soldering for a few years now. While it has mostly worked well for me, the limited working height and narrow field of view has always been an issue. Before getting this bracket, I used to clamp the microscope at the bottom of the lens tube in order to address these two issues. The problem with that solution, is that it makes the rig top heavy, a bit unstable, and puts added stress on the microscope. The TOMLOV BR01 bracket solves both the working height and field of view issues quite nicely, without sacrificing stability. Note that this bracket does NOT include a base, it is only the mounting bracket, and is meant to replace the bracket that came with the microscope.Swapping this bracket out for the original one was quite easy, and was a perfect fit. I just needed to loosen the locking nut, unscrew the original bracket, screw this new bracket in its place, and then tighten the locking nut after centering it over the base. The thumbscrew mechanism that secures the microscope itself appears to be the same as the original bracket. The larger size of the height adjustment knobs on the TOMLOV BR01 bracket gives you a bit more control compared to the thin disc shaped knobs on the original bracket. The locking knob on both brackets appears to be the same. One slight annoyance with this bracket is that when lowering the microscope, the bracket "stutters" or jumps a bit going down due to the lever weight of the microscope, and it's not quite as smooth as I would like. Keeping the locking screw a little snug when moving it down alleviates the jumpiness somewhat. Going up does not have this problem. To be fair though, I think the original bracket did this a little bit as well.I really like the adjustability of the field of view that the taller bracket gives me. At the top, I can see much more of what I am working on, and at the bottom I can still get more detail if I need it.Overall, I felt this was DEFINITELY a good upgrade for the AD407 microscope.
