Pretty good duct fan that i installed under the whirlybird in my attic i have an exhaust fan dumping into my attic and I noticed it was going to be a problem in the summer so I wanted something to flush out the hot air every few hours. Even though it is just a small 4", it works surprisingly well and within about 10 minutes, I see a 6-7 degree drop in temperature. I like the u bracket mounting which made building a platform very easy and only needed an L shaped mount with a simple gusset for structure support. Uses standard 110v electrical which i wired directly to a switch in my garage which can control the fan. I plan on installing a smart switch eventually so I can schedule 5 minute flushes every few hours during the day. Connects to flex, straight and insulated flex duct so it's very versatile as well. Can also be used with an in-line speed control for efficiency and lower speed operating. Very good product and built to last.

Good inline , solid duct blower with adequate "sucking" power.I use it inline with a duct and vent that hangs over a welding table. It is more than adequate to suck up and away any zinc , etc fumes..The only recommended improvement would be to extend the intake and output flange clamping areas by another 34 of an inch or more for a better clamping surface. It's OK as is and has no leaks, but it doesn't take much force to knock a duct off of it even with the duct clamps fully tightened down..

I found this fan to be pretty impressive. It seemed quite well balanced as it moved a LOT of air and did it relatively quietly. The only potential drawback as far as the actual fan unit is the relatively cheap bracket that came with it.When I requested this unit, it was $32.99. At the time of writing, they no longer offer this 4 inch version. HOWEVER, I see zero reason for the DOUBLE priced unit that's only 2" wider than what I got.

This is just what I needed and have had no issues with it after intermittent use for a few months.

I have two bedrooms on either side of a bathroom and using mini-split air conditioners/heaters in the bedrooms, but no actual unit in the bathroom to heat/cool.It works fine when the doors are left open, but that doesn't take into consideration when someone is occupying the bathroom showering, etc., and needs to keep the temperature and ventilation good.I installed this fan unit inside of a framed chase and ran a duct from the bedroom with the larger heat/cool unit (12,000 BTU) and piped it into the bathroom with a grille one both walls and control the fan with a three-speed switch/timer mounted in a wall junction box.On the bedroom side, I used a 12" x 12" return air grille/frame so I could add a filter to the set-up to help keep dust down in the space as well.Now when someone goes to shower, they just turn on the fan and it draws the air into the bathroom in combination with a ceiling mount exhaust fan that takes humid air to the outside.It totally conditions and climate controls the air in the bathroom and keeps the temperature within a degree or two of that of the bedroom and helps get rid of the humidity fast.I thought about wiring the exhaust fan and this fan together, but there are times when you just want to force air into the bathroom, but do not need the exhaust fan running, so I left them separate.Works great, very quiet and moves a lot of air and the perfect solution for homes using mini-splits and not central air/heat.The price was about the same as a standard exhaust fan that only moves around 180 CFM and this one is capable of up to just over 400, so it works really well and has the ability to attach ducting for custom applications.It was also shipped and received fast.
