Got this as a way to pump smoke from my laser engraver out of the workshop. Its nice and moves air pretty quickly. I have no problem working with the doors shut anymore. The only problem I had was getting the host attached the unit, as there is no lip and the hose kept slipping off. Fan is very quiet and does the job.

The only thing that leaves a little to be desired is the variable speed switch this is more of a personal preference but I prefer full speed to not be next to the off portion of the variable speed. Due to this being the case I was not always able to get full speed out of the fan so I bypassed the variable speed switch and hooked it directly up to get the max speed out of the fan.

Has been running steady for 4 winters. Not used in summertime. I like the variable speed control. How ever it is running a little noisy, maybe a bearing noise. I have also never serviced it. I bought a second fan just incase due to the reasonable price.

Not a bad little fan. Got this for a custom airbrush spray booth and it works but it has a couple issues:- Very low suction power for a spray booth. That's my fault for buying the 4" one, but if I don't spray *straight* into the intake while painting parts, it won't pick up the excess and it gets exponentially worse if I go past 20psi on the airbrush.- The fan control dial doesn't really work, turning it only half way down puts it at the slowest speed. This isn't an issue for me since I run at 100% all the time, but it needs to be mentioned.- Had it for about 10 months and it's starting to vibrate/rattle very lightly but more than when I first got it. I won't lie, I suspect it's pigment buildup on the blades and not the fault of the fan itself so I won't take points off for that.Overall, if you're looking for a fan for an airbrush spray booth, get the bigger one. The 6" one with 390cfm should do you fine. I'll be picking one up to replace mine shortly after this review since it's 41% off.
