Great little travel mouse that will be great with my Chromebook/lap top. Yes, it's tiny, but yes that's the point. It's for travel and works fine even for larger hands.

This is a very tiny mouse, which is exactly what I was looking for, so I'm happy. It works immediately upon plugging it into every computer I've used it with (running Windows XP, Windows 7, and Linux Mint), and it's very responsive without a mouse pad. The cord length adjusts and winds/unwinds without tangling or getting stuck like some other products I've used with retractable cords (I'm looking at you, dollar store earbud headphones--not that I expected anything better). Clicking and scrolling is easy and consistently read, and it provides good tactile feedback; if there's anything I don't like about this mouse, it's that clicking is a little louder than I'd prefer, but it's not enough of an issue to take a star away.I have been using this mouse every day for over a month now after my last travel mouse died after two years of frequent use, and I'm very happy with it. I don't expect a lot from a travel mouse for less than $10, but this one has been great so far, even with having to use it as my primary mouse since I keep having to travel and am now working exclusively on my laptop. It's even smaller than my last one from Case Logic (the ER-202, which is probably comparable in size to the ER-404, in case any of you are looking for a slightly larger mouse), so it is easy to carry in my purse (nerd alert!) or to make room for it in pretty much any laptop bag or backpack. I will come back to update this review if it dies prematurely or starts to disappoint me in any way.Tips for those having trouble using it due to the small size:Don't try to cradle the mouse in the palm of your hand like you would with a full sized mouse. Instead, rest the heel of your hand on the desk, and line your fingertips up with the end of the mouse, laying your index and middle fingers lightly along the front half of the mouse and lightly gripping the sides with your thumb and ring finger. I included a picture for demonstration. Now you can move the mouse forward and back by curling/uncurling your index and middle fingers, and you can move it left and right by tilting your hand side-to-side at the wrist. Adjust your mouse sensitivity so that you can make very small movements, and you'll hardly ever have to lift the heel of your hand off the desk. This way of holding the mouse is very comfortable for me, and I don't mind the tiny size at all, even using it as my main mouse every day, though of course YMMV.

For me, I love this Verbatim mini travel travel mouse. The first thing I noticed when I received the mouse is that it is a very small mouse yet I did not find it too small. (I have smaller hands so find this mouse is very easy to hold and use). Because I highly suggest this mouse, below I share the reasons why I am so happy with this mouse:1) Smaller mouse - it is comfortable to hold (if you have small hands or this is a superb mouse for a child/student because it easy to fit into backpack and super reliable for children and students).2) Buttons (left and right) are solidly made and they work just as well as the BIGGER MOUSE types (maybe better).3) Smoothness of movement, scrolling, speed of mouse - This is a gentle type of mouse. For me, I found that when I use the mouse the pointer moves perfectly (no jumping around like some of the big mouse types).Scrolling this mouse - the wheel of this mouse moved up and down to scroll SMOOTHLY!Speed of mouse - When I clicked the mouse once or double click, it performed wonderfully (the speed and smoothness reminded me of an old MS Mouse that I had but in a much small size).4) Construction of this mouse - Don't let this small size fool you. For me, I compared this mouse SIDE BY SIDE with an older MS Mouse for construction and ease of clicking, double clicking etc and this mouse performed the same as my old MS Mouse (corded).**The pull out cord is THICKER and less likely to breakage than the other CHEAP Generics of retractable corded mouse types. So I tested the strength and pulled very hard on the cord and it still retracted well back into the mouse when I finished my use!5) No battery or batteries to buy EVER! For me, I do admit that I love wireless MOUSE, but they don't last as long as a corded mouse and the batteries must be changed every 3-8 months depending on which brand you choose). What I recommend to you: *If you a buying this for yourself and you have smaller hands, or if you are buying this mouse for a student or young child then this is the best retractable travel mouse to buy. This is a very high quality mouse, just smaller. If you are a person who has larger hands, (and you prefer a larger mouse) may I suggest the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 3500. (This is a superb cordless mouse and for me, I get up to seven months on one AA battery with the MS 3500 mouse. And it includes a AA Battery (only one battery is needed for this mouse).
