It is big & heavy however it has to be to put out 300 watts. It heats fast and handles heavy jobs fast.i would purchase again.

Good solid powerful soldering gun.. fast heat with two settings and good value for money.. not for little jobs so be careful as this really puts out a lot of heat and fast. Will need some cool down time if doing a lot with it though...To be fair I wish the company still made the older slightly more powerful version

Llego bien la pistola con un foco suelto cosa de ponerlo y listo, pero, cuando lo puse algo en su interior que es la base de los focos (son de tipo incandescentes) esta suelto creo que su base se soltó de alguna manera o si su ingeniería es tal cual pues la verdad molesta que se muevan al hacer uso de la pistola, de hay en fuera esta bien y calienta muy rápido....

This is one powerful soldering gun. When I was a boy, my father had one like this, but the small one, 100 watts I think. It also worked fine, but was too small for many things. Back then, there were no internet and no DIY videos to show you how to set up the device for optimal work.When it arrived, I was working with some electrical renovations in my house and I had a couple of connections where 3 single wires of 10 gauge had to be securely connected together. I was afraid my extra large connector (Marrette) wouldn't be enough. I used my new Weller Soldering gun. It come to maximum heat in a couple of seconds and I was able to solder my 3 wires together in no time at all. It was so fast in doing that job, I felt kind of let down because the job was done before I was able to completely enjoy the process... LOLI just wished the maximum heat on the device was on the second click of the trigger switch. As it is, the maximum heat is on the first click of the switch and the second click is for the medium heat. Unlike my dad's old Weller soldering gun were it was the other way aound.
