Small size for a small space. Quick key response supports gaming. Rotating color shift on back lit keys is a very cool effect.

This review is for the Womier M68 HE 65 Percent Keyboard (Color - Black). I received a free taxable sample of this keyboard in my search for a compact and durable keyboard that could be used for gaming and possibly word processing. The keyboard weighs 550 grams and measures 12 ½” across x 4 ¼” deep x 1 ¾” high. The rear of the keyboard features a USB-C input and a hard selector system switch to designate WIN or MAC usage. The bottom of the keyboard has four rubberized 1” ovals to prevent movement as well as two nested single-position tabs that can be flipped to increase the total resting angle of the keyboard case from 5 percent to 8 percent or 12 percent. Also accompanying the keyboard was a braided USB-C to USB-A cable (48 grams, 72 ½” end-to-end length), a switch puller tool (7 grams, 5” x 1”), two extra magnetic switches (1.85 grams), and a multi-language user manual which includes a page on combinations with the FN key.Note that this is a 65 percent keyboard despite the 60 percent in the digital product title name because this keyboard has dedicated arrow keys as well as an extra column of keys on the right for Insert, Delete, PgUp, and PgDn. Being a touch typist, I initially thought the adjustment to this 65 percent keyboard with magnetic switches would be pretty easy, but there were a couple things that made it slightly more difficult to transition to this keyboard. The first thing was the default extreme sensitivity where it would insert various lettering at even the brush of a fingertip. My typing improved significantly after dialing down the sensitivity to an acceptable level such that the rest of the transition was fairly smooth. The magnetic switches made it also slightly more difficult as there is a different tactile feel when pressing down the keys due to the feel from the magnetic switches versus the mechanical switches that I’m used to. The feel and noise from these magnetic switches feel slightly more muted with less clack and also requires less depth to activate than what you would experience with mechanical switches. That being said, I can see the greater durability and response potential when using magnetic switches and tailoring it for your needs, especially with gaming - so it seems to come down to a matter of personal preference. In terms of customization and configuration, it was easy to use the provided online interface to customize a wide variety of categories that the brand describes as: custom keys (remapping); lighting settings; macro manager; performance; and advanced keys (binding to actions). As a side note, the “lighting settings” includes several presets which can be further customized to provide pretty much any lighting effect in the colors you desire. The key caps have a pretty cool wavy design that makes the keyboard look almost like a contemporary art piece. What’s also different is that the lettering is located at the front base of the keycaps. All in all, this is an excellent quality 65 percent keyboard with a nice artsy look and customization potential. I recommend this as a great option for a compact and durable keyboard that you can reliably use for gaming and other word processing needs.

Awesome keyboard! I'll get the one negative out of the way first, the black topographical keyboard is super difficult to see. To see what key it is requires a second of staring with the lights on or literally picking up and putting it in your face if its off. So don't get it unless you are going to swap out the keycaps or you are a true hacker(like the 1992 movie) and use blank keyboards. The white keys are much more legible, with the lights on they're pretty easy to see, while being about the same as the lighten black keys when they're off(so you have to stare a moment to see them). They keycaps have a premium feel not super smooth but very pleasing on the fingers. The body of the keyboard is actually nicer, the topographical lines are actually textured on there and you can feel them. The base has 2 leg heights for varying angles with a usb c port so you can use the supplied cable or any other of your choice to connect it.Now, for the best part: The software. It's so awesome to just open a webpage to control the settings of your keyboard. Very nice. I'm not super experienced with them, but I love the movement controls (SOCD). For any game that uses WASD for movement you can set it up so two keys are opposites of each other. A and D for example, for left and right. It handles the use case where you hit both at once so you can quickly strafe left and right. Hold down A then tap D and you'll be running left while stopping and stepping right. On a normal keyboard you will simple run left the whole time or you'll go right on the first hit of D and stop as it will have ignored A after that. Its hard to explain but there are videos online showing how nice it can be. You can also calibrate all the keys so you get can instant response on the lightest touch even if the keys start to get old or gummed up, just calibrate it again for the current response numbers.Lastly, I got both the black and white and swapped around the keys for a really beautiful look that still keeps the topographic contours. It's a super awesome keyboard with some features comparable to $200+ keyboards.

A good budget keyboard. Definitely not as premium feeling as some of the more expensive options. Its performs well though. And has a good look to it. The board sounds decent for the price as well. It’s definitely a valid option if you’re looking for a budget Hall effect board.
