Lo compre de entre varias opciones ya solo por el color, pero no me arrepiento por que el intrumento venia 100% listo para usarse sacado de la caja. Las cuerdas, pastillas y puente venian calibrados perfectamente, incluso ya estaba afinado (confirmado con afinador), el empaque estaba impecable por dentro y perfectamente protegido por fuera. Listo para usarse recien sacado de la caja.

Perfect bass whether you want to start your journey or are already an active player. Off the box it is playable for beginners or learners like myself. At first there was string buzz but that solved itself more after I tuned it to EADG. So to me that says the setup out of the box went through good enough QC cuz off the box it is in good shape and after I tuned it feels better even. I always trust Yamaha so with their products, especially music instruments the quality per dollar is unbeatable.Hoping in the future I get a higher end one with more strings

Es un gran bajo. Buena construcción, maderas resistentes y de calidad. Solo reemplazar algunas piezas y te queda un bajo de primera!

El sonido es increíble, es bastante cómodo con su diseño moderno y la calidad de construcción es excelente. Yamaha ha hecho un trabajo muy bueno con este instrumento, va muy bien en el estudio.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO START ON BASS.I would highly recommend you YAMAHA TRBX174I received an INDONESIAN MADE which is an absolute piece of premium built and sound with 2 Allen key inside the box.Don't think twice go ahead start learning because this will go for a longer period of time.Kudos to CHENNAI MUSICAL FOR ALL THE WARRANTY WORK DONE WELL OVER THE WARRANTY PAPERS IN THE BOX.

You can stop looking. If you're ready to graduate from the $150-250 beginner range but don't think you're yet ready to drop a grand on a bass, this is the one. Hell, you don't even really need to drop more on one, this is flexible enough for anything you need.Looked and felt great right out of the box. Only a very minor truss adjustment to correct a little fret buzz and I was off to the races. From this price point on up, you'd be wise to take it to a luthier (most guitar shops will have one on staff) to get it adjusted just to make sure it's in top shape, if you haven't done it yourself. You can learn to adjust (it isn't difficult) but it isn't very expensive to have it done for you, either.The active/passive pickup is a great addition and worth the step up from the 304. Once I started using it, I'm not sure how I was able to do without it for so long. The back of the body has an LED battery warning indicator so you won't be caught flat-footed with a dead battery when you're in active mode. It does automatically switch over to passive when it loses power, though.Don't take the missing fifth star as criticism. I only use five stars for above and beyond. Take the fours as ringing endorsements. To address the categories Amazon asked about:As far as for beginners, you can find less expensive basses in the $150-200 range, this might be a little pricey for someone's first instrument. The TRBX174 at about $229 (they're still widely available as of April 2021) might suit the absolute beginner a little better at a much lower price point. That said, you definitely can't go wrong with this one if the money isn't a concern.Craftsmanship is top notch. This bass is made in Indonesia. I was a little squirrelly, but the construction is top notch and I found nothing to complain about. I couldn't find any obvious flaws, and it looks, feels, and plays great. No cheap construction materials here. It was perfectly tuned and had only minor fret buzz out of the box, something common with any bass. One quick adjustment and we're off.Versatility is the best I've experienced so far. It works great in the basement, studio or stage. I mostly use it for practice and home use, but it's stood up to everything I've thrown at it. I've tried to find limitations but haven't found any. The active/passive option is something I didn't think about when I ordered; I'd never played with it before. La calidad de sonido es muuuuy buena, Yamaha nunca decepciona. A pesar de ser un bajo pasivo y muy económico responde de maravilla. Tiene unos agudos muy marcados ideales para el slap, incluso se puede apreciar una especie de ronrroneo a partir de los medios- graves que en lo personal me encantó! Había probado bajos más caros, activos y de otras marcas pero ninguno sonaba igual a este. Otro punto a favor que tiene es el color, cuando lo compré pensé que sería un color intenso o muy claro, y la verdad es que es un poco raro, al ser metálico suele cambiar la intensidad de color rojo dependiendo la cantidad de luz que le dé. Puede verse oscuro o claro. No tuve tiempo de probarlo en un escenario por cuestiones de la pandemia pero me imagino que debe verse hermoso. Lo único que no me gustó es que en cuestión de 2 o 3 días la cuerdas empezaron a tomar otro color (ya no eran plateadas, eran color cobre), admito que estuve tocando como loco los primeros días pero aún así no creo que fuera lo suficiente para comenzarán a despintar se por uso. De todos modos es un detalle mínimo porque las cuerdas siguen sonando de maravilla :)

Es mi segundo bajo detrás de un bronco - squier by fender y es mi punto de comparación. Es más ligero pero no deja de estar bien construido, su sonido es más potente para tocar rock ya que se puede conseguir un sonido más brilloso (gusto de cada quien) aunque pienso que no pudiera limitarse a poder tocar otros estilos sin problema, aunado a que es más cómodo para posicionarse al tocar.Me gustó mucho físicamente (llegó bien empaquetado, en tiempo y sin detalle alguno). El precio es un gran punto a favor ya que (aunque no tengo uno de gama alta), he probado otros bajos de gamas más altas y en contraste con este, la verdad les pisa los talones en cuanto a calidad de sonido y materiales de construcción. Un gran producto de Yamaha.
