I’m still not sure what to think about this fake plastic, light-up cherry blossom tree. The kids—especially my first grader—love it. It worked perfectly for Valentine’s Day and birthday decor, lights up well, and actually looks pretty cool at night as the only light in the room. Ok, ok, I’ll admit it was a pressure purchase from the kids and my husband.My expectations weren’t super high (which, let’s be honest, is my default with most purchases these days). And to be fair, it looks exactly like the product image. Which is to say… kinda, uh, cheap-looking. Especially the tree trunk. And the petals. And, well… everything.Now, about the product description—it claims to be handmade and waterproof with silk petals. Let’s just say there’s some creative interpretation happening there. If “handmade” means a factory worker pressing a button on a conveyor belt, then sure.If I had actually believed those claims when buying it, this would be a one-star review. But since it looks exactly like the picture and works as advertised, I can’t say it’s a bad purchase. It amuses everyone in the house, and if you’re getting it for a kid’s bedroom or a birthday party, it’s actually kind of perfect. Even I’m a little impressed when the lights are off.

I so wanted to make a video to show how pretty this is in person because the photos do not give it justice. I just knew that I could not make it through a video without being authentically myself. Please know that every review I compose or any video that I make, I truly do use my educational knowledge obtained from the 3 Master degrees I earned in the business field.This particular product is especially close to my heart. When Amazon suggested this Cherry Blossom Tree to me, I immediately thought yes as tears welled up in my eyes. Now I am sure that you are thinking WHAT, just as I would reading the above statement. But, there’s quite a lot of meaning in that sentence.My sister was my everything growing up and well into our adulthood. In fact, even though our family home had many bedrooms, we chose to share one. It was quite large but we were inseparable. She was 2 years older than I. The incredible bond we had never dissipated, even as we grew older.Well, my sister kept getting flashes in one of her eyes. We immediately thought that it would be her retina had detached. How I wish that was the diagnosis, but alas, it was not. She had a tumor and one of her eyes which was ocular melanoma. There is not a cure for this type of cancer, and it had metastasized in her liver, her lungs and Ascites. One will never forget what you were doing when you receive a phone call such as this and although you try to be strong for your loved one, the moment directly after is your reality. I dropped to my knees and was uncontrollably screaming and crying. But, since we were so close, I knew immediately my next plan of action. I had to try my best to get her into any and all Clinical Trials that she was eligible for that could save my sister, or at least, prolong her time with here on Earth. I was not unrealistic because I knew her time was limited.The first step was to take a leave of absence, knowing that I would most likely have my position available once I returned. Honestly, that didn’t matter to me. My sister absolutely, yet my career at a top tier consulting firm took quite a step back as one will learn if dealt a heavy hand. I can tell you each, and every moment that we were together was precious. I took her to many clinical trials at some of the best hospitals in the United States. We made the best out of an awful situation such as going to fabulous spa’s, going to many beaches, going to the movies, but the best of all was just spending so much precious time and creating memories that still can make me smile or do the opposite which is cry and miss her so.She used to refer to me as her cheerleader, but I just wanted her to have some of the best things that life has to offer before we had to say goodbye, and I will hopefully see her later. She was given three months maximum to live. She survived 16 months. I always talk about business because that is what I earned three master degrees in, but I learned to drain lungs, change tubing, so, so much in the name of love.Her favorite tree was the cherry blossom tree, and I planted one surrounded by peonies. The zone that I live in was not conducive for a cherry tree, and it did not thrive. I never thought of replacing it and then Amazon suggested this beautiful cherry blossom tree. In fact, my other sister and I went to the cherry blossom festival in Washington DC approximately six months after she passed in honor of her.The pictures of this tree do not give it justice of how beautiful it is in person. I am absolutely thrilled with not only the price point, but how lovely it really is. I plan on purchasing a very beautiful and large ceramic pot and then place it on my front stairs. It looks so realistic and is made exceptionally well. It does come with not only a remote control, but also stakes if you would like to put it in your garden outside. You can also place it in your home. As I previously stated, I do want to place it in a large pot, but I may change my mind on that when it is no longer 10° outside. There is nothing about this tree that I dislike. It is not only beautiful, but brings back fabulous memories. I strongly suggest you purchase this lovely tree because you might not have a story to tell to go along with the tree, but it’s beauty will shine through.

The tree is absolutely beautiful I love it it was a birthday gift

No it’s not real wood but it’s a pretty lil addition to a corner. I have a long hallway and wanted some light and warmth. This cherry blossom tree added light for nighttime along with some beauty for the daytime. Timer and remote are a bonus.
