I am happy with the quality of these IC's and didn't find any issues with them. I bought these to make kits to build a basic shortwave radio. I tested all 10 of them in circuit and they all have worked perfectly.Everything seems to test within spec and they are actually a little better than another batch I bought a while back. They even come in a plastic storage box.I'd highly recommend these if you need a cheap op-amp in a circuit where super low noise isn't a concern.

This product contains 10 UA741CP op amps. They are provided in a small closeable transparent plastic case along with 10 DIP sockets. I'm not sure why the product description says "surface mount", since obviously these are not surface mount components. I did my best to test the performance of one of these op amps compared to another UA741 I had laying around...and mainly what I found was that my previous op amp was not very good! This UA741 actually outperformed the spec, with a slew rate of 0.62V/usec compared to the spec of 0.5V/usec. In a unity-gain non-inverting configuration with a 1V p-p input sine wave, the output signal was undistorted and constant voltage into the mid-200 kHz range, and the response to a square wave was pretty clean. Of course the 741 is not a high-performance op amp by any stretch. I would say for the price these are a good deal.
