The gauge of the braided wire was too thick and difficult to work with for my needs. It is such a wire that even with pliers you could not really get a decent 90° bend. Each piece appears to be well soldered and very sturdy. If you need these to be mounted to a base to hold pictures, they would likely work well. Just don’t expect them to bend much. If you do get them to bend at all, be very cautious of the non-clip end. The strands of wire are sharp and will penetrate skin pretty easily. Definitely not for children’s crafts.

You get 100 of these note clips attached to 5 inch lengths of braided steel. Well it's not really a braid, it's more like a spiral. It has a very-high "memory" factor to it and is basically impossible to deform. The clips are acceptable quality, not great, but certainly fine for gripping a piece of paper of whatever. They are friction-fit onto the end of the steel cable and can twist off with just a bit of force, which can be re-attached if you wanted some double-ended clips or whatever. You definitely get a lot for the price.

I had some of these similar -looking alligator clamps from a different source that had such weak jaws that they could not even be counted upon to hold more than one item of card stock for craft projects or for welcome baskets. For the welcome neighbor project, we utilize this for tucking the cable into a neat little basket along with a small loaf of bread and either cookies or cake. Then, the alligator clip that is sticking up visibly above the items in the basket holds a welcome card along with some coupons from neighboring businesses. These clips have sufficient jaw strength to hold the note card and the several coupons in an envelope to prevent them from slipping free or from being blown away. To test them, I put over double the number of items that we typically put into the clip and the clip still managed to have sufficient jaw strength to hold onto them. These will be a marvelous addition!I am delighted with these Averzella alligator clamps, and I definitely recommend them.

I used these clips to hold soldering projects still while I use the heat pen and make connections on boards. I also used this to solder wires to the ends of these to connect batteries to various projects. The metal wire used and the metal clips were good electric conductors.
