Did an excellent job and in a jiffy, its diamond cutters tore through tile like butter while allowing excellent stability and predictable cutting precision

I needed to cut through a granite countertop, 1 1/4" thick. I used a hand-held variable speed drill and a hole bored through wood to get the bit started. The process was spray with water, drill for a minute or so, then wipe with paper towels and repeat. It took about 90 minutes, and the grit was worn almost to the metal when finished. So, it did the job, and I'm happy with it, but I wouldn't expect more than one hole in a thick and tough material such as granite.

Unit does not have a center bit and would walk all over the tile floor. We took a 1" board, drilled a 1.5" hole and used it to support the drill and get it started. We stood on the board to hold the drill in place.

I needed a hole in my granite counter top for a new faucet. I had used another bit from this manufacturer on marble and had excellent results. use a hammer drill and just be sure to drill straight into the stone - if you dont, and try to correct it half way through, you can snag the bit in the rock and bend the adapter, i have done it before. no fault of the bit though. Great quality.
