I didn't buy these for a dining room table. I have a raised vegetable garden that is covered with cloth and I placed these clips on the cloth because it blows up during windy days. However, even though I placed 6 of these on one of the raised beds and 6 on the other, they are still a bit lightweight and the cloth still blows up on occasion but nowhere near how often when I didn't have them on. They add a nice little 'earthy' element to the beds too.

I have several garden flags that the wind always ends up twisting into a mess. These weights worked and keep the flags extended like they should be. In heavy winds however, they can't hold the flag down but so far I am very happy with them.

There is a reason these were cheaper for 12 items - not as heavy as the metal vintage birds i bought 4 for the same price as 12 of this kind - if you need heavier weights - this kind will not work - i want to use them for my outdoor curtains - weighing them down abit - will see
