I wasn't sure about buying a valve body on Amazon but it worked. Fixed my problem, no more transmission codes. However, it did arrive with damage to one of the solenoid wires which I had to repair before installing. I didn't feel like returning and waiting for another one. I would buy again.

I had the unit installed in my transmission, upon starting the car once installed, the AWD light lit up. Diagnostic on the light showed a faulty valve body.

Facing a Christmas Tree of lights on the dashboard of my daughter's 2010 Subaru Legacy, the diagnostic codes all pointed to a failed solenoid valve. Rather than risking replacing just the valve (which would also entail replacing nearly $150 of CVT fluid, and having to redo the job if something else in the transmission failed, I went ahead and bought this reconditioned valve body. (BTW, Subaru recommends replacing the whole valve body, too.) Anyway, installation was straightforward and all is good now. (Note that you do need a diagnostic computer capable of a transmission relearn to complete this job at home. ) And we saved over $2000 from what the stealership would have charged us.
