What a FANTASTIC accessory for gardeners with a drill! I learned recently that growing certain trees on my land with alkaline clay soil will suffer significantly from iron chlorosis without intervention. One suggestion was to drill a hole with an auger 12-18" down, every 6" around the circumference of the drip line of the tree and add 1/2 cup of gypsum and 2 tbs. of Humate (sold near me in IFA Country Stores) and 1 tsp. of nitrogen to each hole, then fill them up with wood mulch. This essentially aerates the land for the tree's roots and helps them grow more freely. Anyway, these augers did the trick! They held together just fine through rocks and hardpan soil. I can't wait to see the progress of my trees this summer!

These are awesome! We have some pretty hard soil, and my wife loves planting bulbs, so I figured this was the perfect gift for her. Works well with a strong cordless drill so she's pretty pumped about next planting season. It should make short work, accurate depth and minimal effort out of the whole process.
