Good old-fashioned nutcrackers that do the job just fine. My grandkids love cracking and shelling nuts to snack on when they come over. These are perfect for them to use on everything from large walnuts to smaller hazelnuts.

I used these nutcrackers for lobster and crab claws, and they work great. They're durable with a good, weighted feel that makes them easy to use, and cleaning them is a breeze. Overall, I'm really happy with this set of two.

I’m really happy with these nutcrackers. Cracking open nuts isn’t my favorite thing since it’s a lot of work, but the handles on these are comfortable and the stainless steel teeth grip the nut well. I used this on hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds and pecans that came in a mixed bag with no problem. You still have to apply a reasonable amount of pressure, but they get the job done without the nut slipping out. I like that this is a 2-pack as you can use one for nuts and one for seafood to avoid cross-contamination.The build quality is great for something that’s only 9.99 for 2 at the time of review. They have quite a bit of weight to them and don’t feel like they will break easily. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a sturdy nutcracker.

These nutcrackers are solid, sturdy, and they feel like they can take on about anything. My wife and I got busy testing them with almonds and pecans, which were all we had on hand. They handled each with ease. The metal surface is wide and jagged enough to grip anything. The surface area is enough so that the shell is not sliced open but shattered. The handle is comfortable and provides for ample pressure. The smaller opening worked well for the almonds, which were too small for the larger opening. The one drawback, which is not a criticism but something to consider, is that the handles have no spring action. Our nutcrackers have a metal band at the top that pushes them in the open position. After cracking, they open to easily reposition or release the nut. With these new nutcrackers, you have to hold them in a way to crush and open because they do not open on their own. Again, not a big deal and easy to get used to but you should know if it is important to you.Another minor curiosity is that the resistance to open and close each are different. Neither appear to be defective but there is that difference, which may be related to variation in manufacturing. I want to report this in case someone may take this as a sign of poor quality control. After using both, I can say that there is no sign that it matters in the final application.Since they appear solid and do their job very well I feel justified in rating with five stars.

Very easy to use. Has two sections, for different sized nuts. I have not ran it through the dish washer as it never gets that filthy. Easy to wipe clean and store.
