I have used other in-line cord switches. Most of them have been hard to wire. This switch has cord holders on both sides. The terminals are easy to wire and durable. I won't use anything else in the future. Works good and easy to turn on and off.

BLUF: Do you want a button? Do you need that button to do button things? This is a good button for your button things...POSITIVES:- Firm "click" when actuating- Internals include a small saddle-piece which "pins" your cable so it doesn't pull the contacts.- Two screws on the back of the housing are NOT captive, but they kind of 'catch' before they come out which is a nice touch (whether incidental or not).NEGATIVES:- Nothing significantNARRATIVE:There's really not a ton to say other than "yeah, it's a button that does button things". I have this hooked up to a very low wattage piece of decor and it installed perfectly. The gauge wire I have going in is a bit thicker (SPT-1) than what it's really intended for but it held on nicely. Installation of my cables was simple... pop the back off, take out the retaining clips (secured by 2 screws) and then feed your cables in. It's a simple, no-frills implementation but seems to work.If I wanted to overanalyze something, I'd just comment on the "click" of this button. If you're buying a switch like this on Amazon, I'm guessing you know what I mean when I say that you want something with a firm, crisp 'click'. This one gives that to you. I've had it installed for a few days and it seems to work as advertised.

I had a heat lamp for my spiny tailed iguana that started randomly flickering and I figured out it was the switch failing. I removed t he old switch, cleaned up the wire ends and installed the new switch. It has been working perfectly. I would buy these again!
