The Bumper on the brad nailer had broken into many pieces. Was hard to even tell what it should look like. This looked like the right one as they said & now I have my brad nailer back again.

My Porter Cable FN250A 16 gauge nail gun stopped firing nails. The Nail Driver part was stuck in the down position. I took the nail gun apart and found this part (bumper) in a bunch of small pieces.At first, this part did not appear to fit properly. There is a cylindrical piece called the valve that is right below it. It takes some effort to get it into the valve but that appears to be the correct way to assemble it since it's firing nails now. I tilted it while forcing it into the valve part.Make sure you put the spring in between this part and the valve as shown in the parts drawings that are available online. Learn from my mistake, I had to force it back out and then reassemble it with the spring in place.Parts diagrams can be found at toolservicenet (dot) com. Search for FN250A.
