These are a great value for buck converters. At this price point I full expect to have to repair a few solder joints, but of the 2 I have used so far they are ok. I always seem to have a need for these every few months or so, so a 20 pack should last me a long time.

I was needing small dc-dc converter for solar lamp project with lithium ion battery.Couldn't believe I could get 20 of these for so cheap. I've tested each one and all are working properly - no defects! A great buy!Like others mention you have to turn the adjustment trimpot quite a few times to get to the setting you want but given the wide input-output range of the converter it's essential it have at least a 10 turn pot so you can set the correct voltage. Try this with 1 turn pot and you'll drive yourself insane trying to get the voltage set to what you want.It's important to check your input-output voltages and load current. There's minimal heat sinking on the circuit board so you definitely want to keep the application down to "losses" of 1 to maybe 2 watts maximum in the converter. Keep this in mind and the converter should work well.My application is 1 Watt 6 volt solar panel straight into the converter inputs. The output has a Schottky blocking diode into the positive of a 3.7V lithium ion battery (converter "on" indicator will light if don't block feeding power back into the converter). Output voltage is set using a resistor load that matches the lowest current into the battery I expect for full charge. Don't try setting charge voltage using a battery. Converters are working great and takes about a full day to recharge the battery. There was no need for fancy charge controller (BMS) and I have a disconnect to remove loads when battery voltage drops to 3.0Volts.If you are a electronics hobbyist you need to order some of these. Seller packages each converter in an ESD tear off top envelope. Top notch!
