I needed something that would stick on the bottom of an industrial machine so that we could move it around our warehouse. The warehouse has a smooth cement floor and the item (a strapping machine) is about the same size as a chest freezer. I couldn't nail or drill into the bottom of the machine, so I needed stick on sliders. So, I ordered these, stuck the entire pack of them on the bottom of the machine and now it slides around pretty easily. The whole job took less than 20 minutes.

I love my hardwood floors and consider those gray magic glides as basic necessities of life. Everything that connects with my floors has glides - chairs, tables, fridge, sideboard/buffet/dressers, even my bookshelves. I can rearrange rooms and clean behind and under everything. Even my sofa can be moved with just a light push. And there are never, ever any scratches on the floors, no matter how heavy the thing I've moved. So I saw these sliders. The orange caught my eye, as did the mention of the adhesive being 3M brand. (If the adhesive isn't good then the sliders will dislodge if the floor isn't perfectly smooth.) I had just picked up 6 wood chairs at Habitat that had round metal "glides" under each leg before I pried them off. They're in the garage because I didn't have 2 dozen 3/4" gray glides on hand. I've applied the orange glides to 2 chairs so far and there seems to be no difference between these and the more expensive gray ones I've always purchased and I did lots of scooting around testing them out. The orange color is not at all visible because 3/4" is the appropriate size for a chair leg that is 1" at the floor.I tried something different, saved a little money and count that as a win.

These are excellent furniture sliders.I love the size and the color. We're using these in a game room, and the small pop of orange color on the bottom of the chair legs look great. The sliders work very well on our hard surface floor. These sliders apply with adhesive, so the only instructions needed are that you should clean the bottom of the chair legs prior to applying the slider. Easy peasy !

We’ve had these on our solid wood kitchen chairs on our wood floors for a couple of weeks, and so far, they are doing a great job of staying in place and protecting our floors. They also don’t hold onto pet hair like the felt pads do, which is a great perk, and they stay in place so much better. Here’s what I would be careful about: these make whatever item you’re putting them on glide very easily. I could see these being a problem on lighter weight stools because of how easily they could move when a person goes to sit down. Also, with the way small children flop in chairs, often putting all of their body weight on the front edge, these may make the chair slip out from underneath them. Felt pads seem to grab the floor a bit more than these do.

This is in relation to the 1" sliders - which are fine, but it's immediately noticeable that when these are sized down so small that their applications are limited. On some carpet and floor types, the small size of these with a heavier piece of furniture can cause them to be less useful, and to slip right off despite the adhesive. That's just something to be aware of, as they do work perfectly fine with most things you'd use smaller ones like this with - chairs, end tables, etc. - but heavier pieces will either need something with greater adhesion or a wider base for a larger mounting surface and slider to spread the weight, and potential friction, out. All in all, not bad for light jobs! Recommended.
