screws were to long for my dewalt 735

I'll admit, I did not clean the screws upon my most recent blade change prior to this one. The OEM screws would not come out with the T-handle driver. I fought with 3 of the original screws and eventually had to drill them out after the hex heads stripped. These new ones are Torx head so I should not have any issues going forward.

I somehow lost one of the screws that hold my planer blade in place on my Dewalt 734. I couldn't find just one, so I had ot order 24. Regardless, it doesn't hurt to have a few in stock for future needs. The first and only concern I had was these screws are actually longer than the factory originals. After carefully studying the situation and installing the new ones to make sure they didn't protrude and cause any problem, I went ahead and changed out all the factory original shorties and put these in place. It might not make any difference, but I do feel better having a longer screw in there on a machine that runs at high rpms.
