The jar is beautiful. It’s large enough to hold over a week’s worth of puppy food for easy access. The seal is good to keep it fresh. But the best part is the handle to open the jar - makes access very easy - which is important, given how often I get into the jar for meals and treats for my growing puppy.

I purchased this for storing the dry mix that goes with my dogs' raw diet. It is very large and I love the fact that it's thick, durable glass and that the lid seals. You do need to push down and hold for a few seconds (you can hear the air releasing) but it does the trick. It holds quite a bit of food, so I'm not constantly needing to refill or store in a cheap, plastic container.

heavy duty, not fragile, lid has a good seal. I use this to store kibble for my 3 dogs. plastic (even food grade) will be permeated with oils from kibble and go rancid. This is the best container I have ever used. Would buy it again.

I was hesitant about buying this as I wanted it for storing pork rind crackling that I buy in bulk and use crushed as an alternative to flour. Some other reviewers had mentioned that the lid wasn't terribly airtight. However when the jar arrived I was rapt. Attractive shape, huge size - exactly right - and the manufacturers must have paid attention to those lid reviews because the lid had a thick, perfect seal around it. The seal is so thick that it actually takes some pushing to push the lid on and some leverage to get it off! I'm more than happy to do this because the seal is perfect and my pork rinds stay fresh and crisp.
