The dc cable is thicker and longer. AC cord stays in the power supply

Apparently, you are not supposed to tell people why this item sucks because Amazon blocks it every time I try to be reasonable about it.

This worked well for my laptop. Finding a 280W power supply is trickier than the common values... but this allowed my laptop to keep working.

I recently purchased an open-box ASUS TUF A16 gaming laptop from Best Buy, with nearly $200 off the MSRP. All due to it being in "fair condition" for a missing charger, and I couldn’t pass up such an incredible deal.Since getting the laptop, I needed a charger. Initially, I planned to buy a universal one. However, while browsing, I came across this OEM-looking charger for $80 (at the time of writing), which was cheaper than any other charger with comparable wattage I could find. It seemed like a no-brainer to go with this one. When the charger arrived, it came in a plain box, but after unpacking it, I was impressed. It looked very much like an OEM charger, with the ASUS ROG logo and branding on the back. In fact, I'm not sure whether it's an actual OEM charger or a high-quality third-party imitation. Regardless, it worked without any issues. The charger is rated at 280W, which is the correct wattage for my laptop. I ran some benchmarks that maxed out the power draw, and there were no problems with either the laptop or the charger.Since I don't have the original charger to compare it with, I can't speak to how it differs or matches. However, I can say this charger is the largest one I’ve ever owned. It measures about 7 inches long, 3.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches thick—roughly the size of a stack of four smartphones and weighs about 2 pounds, including the cable.Overall, it's a great replacement charger. Whether or not it's truly OEM, it looks and functions like one. It's large and heavy, but that's understandable given its 280W rating. Most importantly it works perfectly with my ASUS TUF A16 (Model: FA617NT).
