My ignition key hinge on the fob broke.To get an OEM replacement is $400 CAD.It took me some time to carfully disassemble the original fob as the plastic body is sealed. Once apart, the computer chip was easily placed into the new fob assembly and the original key was installed on the new fob.If you are capable, and the computer chip is still working, I highly recommend you follow my lead on this...

I was hesitant to buy these due to some of the reviews. After receiving them and taking some time to do the work I was able to get both key fobs replaced in an hour or so. If you are not familiar with taking electronics apart expect it to take a little longer. If I had any complaint it would be the locking mechanism for holding the key part in place it’s not as springy or solid as the OEM but that’s not really a problem in my eyes as this is an aftermarket part and I’m using the old bracket not the new one provided. Don’t listen to half of the bad reviews, as long as you double check the fitment for your particular key fob they will work.

Looks nice compared to the old busted ones and easy enough to install, but the key has issues staying locked in the folded position.

The obsolescence of this new cars nowadays even European is low in quality. Make sure to check with your local locksmith for programming capability.
