Please refrain from believing any negative or inaccurate reviews about these jugs. Here are my observations:1. The review by Xthunder is accurate—these jugs comfortably hold at least 4 liters and can accommodate nearly 5 liters if filled to the brim.2. The material is water- and food-safe, marked as **HDPE 2**, and features a rigid shell with just a slight amount of flex.3. These jugs are undoubtedly durable and well-suited for long-term use, even in camping or rough conditions.4. The cap includes a locking ring that engages only once. If you tighten the cap onto an empty jug, you'll need to twist and break the ring to reopen it. Unfortunately, there's no option to bypass the locking mechanism by squeezing the cap ring—it’s a one-time locking design.5. Each cap is equipped with a hidden silver seal inside, effectively preventing leaks.6. When filled with 4 liters of water, with the cap lightly tightened, I tested by turning the jug upside down, and there was absolutely no leakage.7. Overall, I couldn’t find anything to dislike about these jugs.Hope this helps someone.

When you buy gallons of water from the store the jugs are very flimsy and come apart at the seams after a short period of time. I bought these gallon jugs to store distilled water in for watering my indoor plants. They are very, very sturdy and not flimsy at all. I anticipate these will last me for years. This is great for the environment as I won't have to keep replacing the plastic jugs. Thank you for making such a wonderful product!

These are built well and I don’t foresee any leaks coming from these. I use them for my aquarium hobby and I keep fish tank water in them.

After seeing reviews that these jugs are flimsy and not 1 gallon I wanted to post an honest review. Also, I am using them for filtered water storage. They are not flimsy compared to one gallon jugs you buy water in, like the one in the photo. They are like what you would buy chemicals in.I tested the volume using a two liter measuring cup. I filled it twice (four liters total) and it did indeed fill it to the four liter line on the jug, note; there are no gallon marks on the jug just liter marks. According to the internet, there are 1.056688 US quarts in 1 liter, so it in fact holds more then one gallon (almost five quarts to just under the very top), providing plenty of room for one gallon (4 liters) and room for expansion. Also, the lids have a tamper/lock on them for those who are making product to sell and/or keep lid from turning. Please see photos for reference of my old water bottles, measuring cup and where the fill water filled the jug to.I also noticed that the main photo of the listing shows the three jugs with one filled to about where one gallon would come to.Great product, I will buy again.
