This is the 4th or 5th suncatcher kit I've bought off Amazon. But this one has a piece thats messed up. Would be nice to have a replacement sent as they are not cheap and dont have multiples of each. Attached is a pictured

This is easy to use. It's fun to see what kind of suncather you can make. It makes a lot of "rainbows," as the grandkids say. Worth the price.

I have a lot of high end crystal sun catchers all around my house and always thought it would be fun to try to make one myself. I love the way they reflect rainbows all around a room at the right time of day, and they look lovely hanging in any window. Also great for Feng Shui. So when I saw this kit I decided to give it a try.The kit comes in a small plastic reusable hinged box to keep everything together. It included a wire cutting craft plier (be careful the wire cutting section is sharp), and a split ring tool to help properly open the split jump rings you will be using to string pieces together. Proper opening allows for proper closing, and a secure, and visually appealing result. No warping of the jump rings. There are also visual instructions for 2 different styles. After you have successfully done these you can use your imagination to create the sun catcher you want. Use your imagination.The pieces included are decent quality for a beginner DIY kit. The fancy parts (sun, butterfly, stars etc.) are thick enough not to bend easily. They are not as thick as, and the edges are not as nicely finished as the parts on my high end sun catchers, but they are fine for what this kit is. The crystals have a lot of shine, and refract light well.This would make a great afternoon activity kit for 14+ teens, or an adult DIY for small gifts or to make your own rear view mirror bling for your car.If you're considering, go ahead and give it a try. A nice starter kit at a great price.

I've been trying to figure out what I can do to add something interesting and a little creative to my plain door side-lite. Since I need something pretty narrow, this seemed like a great idea.It was fun to be able to assemble it myself and choose the arrangement of the components. I added some extra crystals that I already had. (I love sparkle!) It's very pretty. It's just hard to see it against the background.For what I want, I think I might need to shop around for bigger and bolder components. I don't feel like this set was a bad buy, though. I will likely be able to incorporate many of the pieces from this set in whatever new creation I figure out.The metal is thin, but that doesn't bother me. The components are nice and shiny with beautiful designs. I'm very happy with the quality of the crystals. That is something that I am picky about. The price of the set is likely very reasonable for the price of the crystals alone.I almost forgot to mention that the set comes with a nice pair of pliers that you'll be able to use for many other crafting projects. Another plus for the bang for your buck.Summary-Pros:BeautifulFairly easy and fun to assemble... as long as you are fairly coordinated.Beautiful designsAdded re-useable toolNice quality crystalsCons:Difficult to see against a busy backgroundOverall, fine, delicate, dainty size components (for my needs)Final Recommendation:Even though the set is quite a bit more delicate and dainty than what I need. I'm keeping it and think it's a good value.If you aren't typically co-ordinated with making things with your hands or working with tiny components, this might be frustrating for you.

It is just ok the pieces are a bit flimsy. Still can make some nice sun catcher’s.
