I ordered 5 1N34 germanium diodes. When I received them I tested them. One of the five was open and did not conduct. The other four had high forward voltages and high reverse leakage. Much more than normal. In short all five diodes were bad. I returned them to Amazon for a refund.

Tested these diodes and the forward bias voltage is between .6 to .7 volts, not the .3 volts you would expect from germanium diodes. They are silicon diodes.
