I 3d printed this awesome light and added a couple of these lights inside which truly brought the project to life!

Lights come with a resistor installed on the wire connection so soldering the lights to the decoder for the locomotive becomes easier. Remember to pre measure your opening on your model before opening to ensure a good fit. Good lighting emitting from the lense of the locomotive. Again depending on the era of the model some modellers may prefer a more yellow tint for lighting. The 5mm is definitely on the larger end of the scale for an HO scale locomotive. These lights can be also used to light the HO scale buildings displayed on the layout.

These 50 clear, 3mm LEDs arrived in a plastic bag. They are in excellent condition.This is a rare case where you'll actually get more than what is promised. The product description doesn't mention that each of these LEDs has an inline resistor on the + lead. It's under shrink wrap so I can't say what its rating is, probably 220 ohm. You can still buy LEDs like these without the resistor, which means a lot more work for you. It's a real benefit to have them here. Also, these LEDs are described as being 9 to 12 volt. As you can see in my attached pictures they produce useful light all the way down to 3 volts. That's ideal for my applications, which include edge-lit pieces of acrylic coming off my Glowforge laser cutter/etcher. It's nice to be able to play with lighting intensity.Everything about these LEDS looks good. The leads are good quality. They light up, as you can see. (12 volts is quite bright for a 3mm LED.) Good product, for sure!

Would be careful ordering these. Got mine and they were all one color. Not the 4 colors they were supposed to be.
