Obviously this was not the intended use of this product but it worked so well I wanted to share. I have 100's of regular houseplants & normally use basic window screen in the bottom of pots but I've recently began a succulent obsession. In knowing excellent drainage is a key to success I knew screen likely would not suffice so began a search for a solution. I luckily came across these. Having never done cross stitch (may not be correct term for their intended use) I decided for the price it wouldn't hurt to try. I'm so glad I did because they are perfect! The hole size is perfect for quick drainage but does not allow the medium to clog or escape the drainage holes. They are thick but extremely easy to cut to the desired shape & will obviously last a very very long time. I have used them in 48-2" pots, 40-1.5" pots, 10-3-4" pots & still have 2 full sheets left. I only wish I could afford to use them in all of my, obviously much larger, regular houseplant pots. If you're looking for a potted plant drainage solution & somehow came across my review, I highly recommend this product for that purpose.
