These were exactly what was needed to clean up the threads on a bike crankarm.The only thing I wish was easier would be that if they came labeled with "L" and "R" to indicate which tap was left threaded and which was right. I ended up just using a sharpie on the flats, and on the individual boxes. (Unlike the picture which has these in a single box, mine came in two blue plastic boxes.)

used it in a highly needed situation with my Specialized Evo mt. bike - dumb move on my end shredding some of the pedal threads...I never used this and after checking the correct side (test) I was able to fix my issue within 10 minutes. Pedal is on the bike!!!

Theses taps are made with quality and percision.They work on left and right hand threads size 9/16 - 20.They'd work on bicycles , fitness bikes ,etc,.The only improvement i can suggest is that they should be in different color plastic cases to identify the left and right hand taps easier ,ie, the Red case for the left hand threads and the Blue case for the right hand threads.

Worked perfectly. I ran the tap from the backside of the crank and was able to install the pedal immediately after.

I like almost everything about this product except the right and left are not marked so you have to gently test each one slowly to prevent damage. Otherwise great quality and very effective.
