My son got some Akko V3 Crystal switches that are next to impossible to open to lube them. My husband had bought him a keyboard tray with embedded openers that didn't work well. I then got him this one, and he was able to open them with relative ease - I think this was because he could hold this at a proper angle in his hand, or maybe just the pressure points are better placed / built out. Either way, he's happy he can now finish lubing these switches. Really like the magnetic closure so it's not likely to get dusty for future use.

OMG this just saved me roughly 2 hours or more. I LOVE keyboards and I modify mine ALL the time. To take the switches apart takes time and u sometimes break them it's just the nature of the beast. But this makes sure that never happens!Works perfect, sturdy, great material!5 STARS 🌟!!

worked exactly how i wanted and much better than 2 other ones that i had tried (one of them being the gmmk pro one). Wished the magnets were a little stronger but other than that great!

I used this product to individually open 94 Kang White switches. A relatively easy switch to open. Only a handful of switches popped open quickly. Most of them required a little care when opening. One side first, then the other. Or I was applying different levels of pressure to either side of the switch. It works but you need to get the hang of it first. However, I would buy it again.

Couldn't be happier with this. Bought it to open low profile side-wing style switches, and it was super effective. Works great on standard 4 prong Cherry switches too.
