These work well for the application I purchased them for.

This will probably only work on ultra light lenses. On my 35mm sigma the tubes bend and creak when taking a photo.

I used this with my 50mm 1.8 EF. It does have metal contacts to couple with the camera body so the AF works. If your focus ring is electronic then it doesn't seem to work when I switch to MF. It only appears to work in AF mode. Also sometimes, if the metal contacts don't line up, AF don't work, so you may have to line it up.These are very inexpensive and there's a reason for it. The plastic is very light and doesn't seem durable. It's all plastic other than the metal tabs. When I put my 50mm on the extension, it fit a bit too well. So much so that taking it off was almost impossible. Pushing the metal tab on the tub didn't help much. It wasn't until I wiggled it back and forth for a while that it finally came out. I would say that once you wear it in a few times, it probably would be easier to get off.On the other hand, the extension tub connection to the camera body seems very easy to take off. It didn't seem to latch on, and at any given time you can unscrew it easily without having to press the button to unlock the lens from the barrel mount. If you had some heavy large lens that could be a bit scary knowing it can unscrew so easily. In a pinch these would do but if you had expensive lenses you are planning to use it with, I'd look elsewhere. I take macro shots once every blue moon and these do it for me. See my posted image. Nothing amazing but just a quick shot I fired off. Knowing these limitations, they can be suitable for someone looking for extensions on a budget.

only giving 1 star because it does take macro shots that are quite good.. but wow, I am afraid to un-lock them in fear of breaking them.. extremely cheaply made.. biggest issues are 1) it states they are auto focusing, when they are not... my auto focus will not work with them and 2) and the most concerning is that they don't lock onto the camera. I have had a few times that it comes unscrewed from the camera while manually focusing.. not impressed with the quality at all.. will be ordering better ones immediately.. save your $$, not worth it at all.. wouldn't give you 50 cents for these things..

The tubes works great! Easy and smooth to put on and take off. Well and precisely built! Auto focus is hard to reach but the function works. Manual focus suggested and from my experience it works better than auto focus when shooting macro.
