This safe has 2 shelves. Each shelf has 4 support clips. Mine arrived with SEVEN clips, so one of the shelves is shaky and will only hold something lightweight on one side. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

The packaging held up to abuse in transit and kept the safe intact. The key at first was hard to push in at first but it loosened up after a few tries. Electronics worked fine so far. I noticed some gaps in between corners of the walls which heat can go through. I recommend sealing the corners up and using fire resistant bags with this safe to keep your items safer.

The safe arrived with the wrong keys. The customer service group was responsive and frequently kept me advised on the status of the replacement keys. Given the price point, the construction of the safe met my expectations. The only reason for the 4-star rating was the lack of quality control -- sending the wrong keys.

If I'd ever secured a safe to a wall or floor previously, maybe this would not have been an issue, but I haven't, so I screwed up. The safe came with instructions on how to open it, program it, etc. but not a single word about how to go about mounting it, namely, that you absolutely need to measure the inside to figure out where the pre-drilled holes on the outside line up so that you can cut the carpet (felt, really) inside the safe before you drill it out, because the inside is not marked in any way and is not pre-drilled. Only the outside is pre-drilled.I read a bit online about what to do, so I did cut the inside first, but the material is felt on top of drywall (or plaster board), which is pretty hard to cut cleanly with a razor. I ended up either not cutting in exactly the right spot, or I just didn't get it cut completely through, so when I drilled from the outside, my drill bit caught the fabric and COMPLETELY ripped it off of the floor. Turns out, it was not glued down very securely to begin with, which is a shame because otherwise, it's a really nice safe. I like the look, it's easy to operate, and it feels secure.I'd already drilled the wall and floor, so I ended up keeping it and trying to re-glue down the felt to the floor myself (my artsy wife helped). It came out ok. Also, one of the shelf mounts was broken, but since I didn't really need 2 shelves, I just put the extra shelf on the floor to help cover up my mistake.If this came with more detailed instructions, or if it were pre-drilled or cut or marked in some way inside, I'd easily give this 5 stars, but since it ended up taking me at least 3 times longer than it should have to install and make it look nice again, I have to dock it one star. I love everything else about it though.

All signs point to a 5 star product after setup. Construction seems solid, very securely packaged for transport, interior is impeccable, lock mechanism operates smoothly, etc. No flaws whatsoever, it’s exactly as advertised. The ONLY thing that prevents a full 5 star review is that it was extremely difficult to remove the cover for keyhole use, which is required for initial opening to install batteries and program a personal access code. I had to use 2 flat head screwdrivers to pry off the cover, which I suppose is an added security feature if I was looking for the silver lining.Overall, this sure seems like a great value purchase, and I hope I never have to update this review with info about whether or not it survives a house fire. 😁
