Over decades of buying shoes (dress, casual, and athletic) I have found that the comfort of a pair of shoes can almost always be improved by inserting properly paired insoles. Sometimes I can add the new insoles over the ones that come with the shoes; other times I do better by removing the original insoles. The AirPlus Extreme Active Gel is my go-to insole for shoes that meet the following conditions:- Heel width that holds my heel in place. (I generally do not buy shoes with heels that are too wide. Slippers are an exception - they are almost always loose at the hell.)- Heel with little or no cushioning. The AirPlus heel pad is firm, yet has some cushioning.- Some arch support. The AirPlus arch is not flat on the bottom and will eventually collapse if used in a shoe that has no arch support. However, if the shoe or its original insole has some arch build-up, the AirPlus often adds enough additional support to spread my weight over the middle and rear of my foot.- Not orthotic-like arch support. In these cases, I often use non-contoured (flat) insoles that are either gelled or soft foam.- Toe box with a little bit of extra room. The front of the AirPlus insole is much thinner that the midsole and heel areas, but is still gel-containing all the way to the tip of the toe. Using this insole eliminates the transition between the insole and the toe box that you might feel if using a 3/4 insole. (I do use 3/4 insoles in shoes where I need the heel and arch support but where the toe box is already a firm fit to my foot.Note that when I am shopping for a new pair of shoes of any type, I routinely include the price of supplemental insoles, although there have been some occasions where the shoe interior follows the contour of my foot and provides some overall cushioning.I wear a size 10 to 11 shoe of "medium" width, whatever that means. Thus, I need to trim the AirPlus insoles. If the shoe's toe box is a bit wide for my toes, then I trim the insole toe just for overall length, letting the edges of the insole roll up the insides of the toe box, effectively narrowing the toe box. If the toe box is a good fit for my toes, I also trim the width of the AirPlus insole so it lies flat along the entire shoe interior.

Used for hard-surface work and road walking shoes. I've found reduced ankle & knee pain putting these or similar inserts into most of my runners. For some runners, they might make the fit too tight unless original insert is removed. I prefer original insert over the gel (unless gel has a fabric top), so i tend to get half to one size up in shoes when ordering new.These gels are on-par with the other top name-brand inserts that are rated for 100kg plus.

These are a low-volume, low-profile pair of insoles probably best for performance/athletic shoes and tight-fitting casual shoes. With thin, lightweight yet high-density foam these insoles are high-quality and help give your feet extra comfort and support. With moderate arch support, these insoles are good for those with flat feet and can slip easily into any shoe. You'll definitely notice a nice difference with these.

This fit my size 13 feet perfectly. I had a pair of Levis shoes which looked nice, but the insole was utter garbage. In a matter of months, I was in pain wearing the shoes and thought I'd give these inserts a shot and I've had them in for a few months now and they work incredibly well. I wear them almost daily and they are so comfortable. It's turned a pair of shoes I would never want to wear into ones I regularly choose because they feel great.

These are really great insoles, I have tried a few different insoles over the years and these have by far been the best. They are relatively expensive (there are other brands more expensive though). I am on my feet a lot at work and these ease the pain, and also I had a bad foot last year and my doctor recommended buying some shoe insoles so I got these as they were the only ones Asda sold at the time and they helped me a lot. I bought some more on Amazon because they were cheaper and although they had to come from America so they took a while they were definitely worth the wait. Well packaged.
