The issue with the holes mentioned in other reviews is not a big deal, I trimmed the tiny bits back with a razor blade and sanded it smooth with 220 sand paper. Seems like it will be a great sanding block overall. Its pretty light, and the holes likely prevent some heat buildup, however, it is not flexible like the old rubber ones, the yellow core is plastic and more firm than the black rubber exterior, this also makes the hinge-looking area a bit more difficult to open than it appears, you just have to be careful not to force it open too far, this is where my old rubber one eventually splt. Wish this was a bit more flexible, hopefully the firmer plastic will prevent the splitting and not crack, only time will tell. Overall seems like a good purchase.

Well made and just what i needed for several projects on my list. Easy to set up and change the sandpaper.
