This brought water to a boil very quickly just using my small backpacking stove. Its very light with a clear plastic lid that can be used as a strainer. I think it is well designed and quality built. Good value!

2/19/2025:Although it is 1.45L filled to the rim, a more practical fill is 1L. The flip over handle is pretty convenient and strong/secure when locked in the handle position, but in the flipped stowage position, it doesn't lock in place to prevent the lid from coming off. But that's okay as included is a mesh carry bag. The dia is 5.8" and ht to top of lid is 4.6" The lid is plastic and has a flip up tab to safely lift up the lid. The heat exchanger looks very high tech and was excited to try it out so I setup a comparison test with 2 other camping pots and a kettle. I set my propane camping stove on low-med heat with no-wind (i.e. indoors) and took turns heating up 16 oz of water (from a pitcher so it's all the same temperature). It was a little subjective to determine when it was a full boil, but here are the times:3:20 - 7-1/4" dia Copper-plated Aluminum bottom Camping Pot3:30 - 5-3/4" dia Circulon-like bottom Non-Stick Camping Pot3:35 - 5-3/8" dia Heat Exchanger bottom Camping Pot3:40 - 5-1/8" dia black-coated bottom Camping KettleAs expected the larger diameter pot performed best (i.e. more surface area to transfer the heat). The diameters of the other 3 pots/kettle were about the same which had times that were about 5 secs apart... which is in the margin of error for my observation of when a full-boil has been reached. Although heat exchanger theoretically creates much more surface area, and creates a pocket to trap the heat underneath, the exchanger also standoff the bottom of the pot from the flame resulting in less heat transfer. Perhaps in a more windy situation, the heat exchanger would offer an advantage, but then the wind may also cool down the exchanger fins as well. So theoretically, it should work better, and perhaps in certain wind and or standoff positions, it will, but at the very least, it will work comparably to a normal camping pot.

Compared to many other similar aluminum camp cookware, these are good quality and a great value.

This has to be made in the same factory as the big name brands camping pots because it’s that good. I just wish it had a matching hard anodized lid. I’m not a fan of this plastic lid trend. I guess it’s because I’m old school.
