Ich habe mir die Schuhe zum tauchen geholt und bin begeistert. In Mexiko habe ich einen Guide mit diesen Schuhen kennengelernt, gerade bei Steinigen Untergründen extrem angenehm zu tragen. Auch trocknen die Schuhe extrem schnell, eine echte Alternative zum Poseidon OneShoe.

Great shoes, good quality and finish, but the standard width is too narrow for my feet. Unfortunately they did not offer EEE here.

The Altama Maritime Assault is a very light-weight minimalist type shoe. The pros of that is they allow for greater speed and agility over varied terrain. The downside is that there really isn't all that much too them. The Seal Rubber outsole offers fairly decent stickiness on slick surfaces, but isn't nearly as good as Five Ten's Stealth Rubber or Vibram's grip compounds. And there really isn't a whole lot too them. The soles are very thin, and on the trail you can feel everything you step on, which is why the first order of business after unboxing these is to remove the insoles (they are horrible, and will stick to you sock when putting the shoes on or taking them off) and replace them with something that will provide more support and durability. The second thing you're going to want to do is replace the laces -- they too are horrible, and while the flat design is intended to accommodate the wearing of swim fins, I don't see them lasting very long in harsh environments/conditions. They also have a tendency to twist about and become circular anyway, so they're just a PITA. As of this review I've put just over 230 miles into them (about a 30/70 split of pavement/trail), and aside from some loosening thread around the front edge of the rubber toe guard (a problem solve by simply using a lighter to melt the thread and press flat) they have held up very well and show next to no signs of wear.

These are great. Very comfortable for what they’re designed for. These are not a replacement for your Chucks. These are duty wear. I’ve walked through water, mud, sand, woods, gravel…. Comfortable, supportive and light weight. They dry extremely fast if they get wet. Completely recommend.

....there really needs to be more arch support. It'd be awesome if ALTIMA sold high arch drainage insoles so that water could still drain from the boot rather than soak into the insole. I'm just saying. All in all it's a great piece of gear: breathes well, durable, great traction, comfortable....only real complaint is the complete lack of arch support. For a company that has been serving thr military's footwear needs since the late 60's you think they'd figure little things like this out.Took a star off for lack of arch support.
