The Amaran 24" (2-ft) circular softbox is a high quality, quick-setup softbox which comes with nice accessories and is an an absolute joy to use.First thing, this is a higher-quality item than I expected. I have a bigger, 38" octobox which is nice as well, but sometimes takes up more space than i'd like and the quality isn't quite as good as the Amaran. The Amaran Light Dome 60 is a really great size for me. Good for headshot portraits and product photography. I also like its 'deepness' which adds to the light quality. That's another thing, the quality of light you can get is really one of the things that i'm really impressed with.I'm using it with two small speedlights together with a bowens mount adapter that holds the speedlights in place. The light dome comes with a smaller inner diffuser that mounts deeper inside the softbox, an outer diffuser that is placed on the outer end of the softbox and a grid which can also be placed on the end of the softbox to better control your light pattern. I'm convinced that the 2 diffusers, the inner and outer diffusion cloths, really add to the light quality effectively eliminating 'hot-spots'.Diffusers and grid are easily installed with velcro. There is also a velcro strap that is attached to the light dome that can go around the softbox and keeps it together nicely when being stored in the included padded storage bag. The storage bag isn't just another cheap vinyl bag either, its actually well padded which will protect the light dome from damage.Setting it up is different from my other soft box but very easy. Once opened, the box is very tight and there is no sagging of the material. You simply click the rods into place by the metal tabs towards the light opening end while opening the light dome and when done with your photoshoot, you disengage them and the unit folds up nicely. It also came with rubber guards to put on over the metal bowens mount and metal tabs for the rods. Very nice addition which also keeps everything protected!I'm extremely impressed by this softbox. It produces excellent results and am starting to use it on just about everything i'm shooting now. Amaran is surely a brand that I will be watching out for and look forward to their other offerings. They won me over with this one for sure!

Amaran's Light Dome 60 is a really solid smaller light modifier. The Dome 60 comes in a nice carrying tube bag that is able to be unzipped both at the top as well as down the side making taking out and putting away so easy. The dome itself comes equipped with Bowen's mount on the back as well as two layers of diffusion and a grid attachment that can velcro onto the inside of the light dome.The ribbing on this light modifier is easy to flex open and they lock into place satisfyingly. With this being a light dome it has a ton of ribbing to open up but when fully expanded this thing is basically a circular light source meaning that the catch light on your talent's eyes will be fully circular and beautiful. When collapsing the modifier there are nice opposing tabs that run around the mounting ring and is so simple to unclick and fold down.I am really impressed with Amaran's light modifiers they all seem to be high quality and good investments for my photo/video studio.

I love this diffuser! It's so easy to setup and pack up. There are quick releases at the base of every rod that you simply pinch to release. It's such a satisfying click. It comes with a travel case, diffusion layers, and a grid to eliminate light spill. Bowens mount is secure and is reliable. This is great for portability and travel. 10/10 recommend super functional and you get a lot for the price

I have a couple of other soft boxes, domes, and lanterns, and this has to be the nicest one I've gotten. The setup was easy and simple. You just need to pull on some wires and get them to lock in place but also, the locking system in here is much nicer than what i had in my other modifiers. I got the 2ft one to replace one of the 3ft one i have and the size is much nicer. It's more portable and compact enough for me to move around my space. I would pay the extra money to get this light modifier because it feels like this will last much longer.
